Title: Ancestors - Dry Season, size 61 x 91 cm.
Dreaming: The dreaming depicted in this painting is that of the thousands of years of Sarrita's ancestors. Markings made on the land over thousands of years are entangled with elements still covering the land. The sand hills, flora and paths made by humans and animals and under it all are the waterways which have existed over time feeding the land, the flora, fauna and humans. These are the same waterways that helped the artists ancestors to thrive and remain as a constant reminder of their presence.
